La Conférence de Peter Chasse se tiendra en Anglais le 03 Octobre 2014 à l’Usine C dans le cadre de la semaine de la technologie et de l’innovation sociale.
Peter Chasse is the Founder and President of The Water Project (TWP). TWP is a U.S.-based non-profit organization unlocking human potential by providing sustainable water projects to communities in sub-Saharan Africa who suffer needlessly from a lack of access to clean water and proper sanitation.
For over eight years, TWP has been helping communities gain access to clean, safe water by providing training, expertise and financial support for water project construction through its staff and implementing partners.
With a background in software development, Mr. Chasse built TWP on a strong foundation of web facing systems that allow a unique and deeply transparent view of the work they do. Supporters are able to see the specific results of every gift they make, through pictures, GPS mapping and community reporting. Every result of their work is shown online at www.thewaterproject.org
Mr. Chasse champions the role that carefully leveraged emerging technologies, like crypto-currencies, can play in international development and in service to the poor. He’s hopeful that the philanthropic energy, expressed early on in the crypto movement, will continue to deepen into more tangible products and services for the non-profit sector.
