Du 29 Septembre au 03 Octobre 2014, se tiendra à Montréal, la semaine de la Technologie et de l’innovation Sociale. A cette occasion l’organisation Appfrica sera représentée par sa directrice des Opération Bahiyah Robinson. Bahiyah animera :
1) Une conférence à l’école Polytechnique de Montréal le 02/10
Comme on le sait tous, le continent Africain a fait de nombreux progrès dans le domaine des technologies. La pénétration du téléphone portable en est un indicateur, tout comme les 10 observations faites par Eric Schmidt, l’un des patrons de Google ou le dynamisme des startups illustré par cet article de CNN.
2) Une Conférence à l’Usine – C le 03 octobre sur les nouvelles pratiques d’éducation et leur impact sur les leaders de demain. La conférence se tiendra en Anglais
Biographie de Bahiyah Robinson (en Anglais)
Bahiyah has worked in the international development and entrepreneurship space since 1995. In addition to holding marketing and management positions at NGOs such as the Council on Foreign Relations, she also served as Marketing Consultant and Sr. Relationship Strategist for Ashoka’s Changemakers, working with thousands od entrepreneurs globally, and clients such as the Ebay Foundation, ExxonMobil, The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Omidyar Network, and AMGEN.
She has designed and managed events in Brazil, Uganda and Kenya and is the Co-Chair of the Capacity Development Working Group at the Aspen Institute Network of Development Entrepreneurs (ANDE). She’s also a mentor at the Opportunity Hub, supporting local entrepreneurs in Atlanta, Georgia. Bahiyah has spoken on topics such as supporting technology and entrepreneurship in Africa in Berlin, Kampala, Nairobi, Addis Ababa, New York City, Atlanta and Switzerland.
